How to cook chicken in cosori air fryer?

Learn how to cook a whole chicken with the Cosori Air Fryer! This versatile new kitchen appliance is great for cooking a variety of foods, including french fries, meatballs, chicken, and even doughnuts. You can use it to cook your favorite foods in less time and without all the fat.

Prepping the chicken:

1. Remove all of the packaging and plastic from the chicken you will be using. This includes any packaging on the backside of the chicken. You don’t want this there since it creates a brown spot on your perfectly fried food.

2. Cut off the extra portion of the leg by cutting around it with a cutter or scissors. You don’t want that in there either.

3. Place your chicken in the cosori air fryer, breast-side down. This is so that when you cook your chicken, any juices that come out while cooking will be on the breast side and will effectively give you crispy skin as well as juicy meat!

4. Now place the chicken in there on top of your cooking rack.

5. Using a brush or sponge, make sure that you clean out all of the holes and corners of your cosori air fryer. This is important! If there are any bits of food debris stuck in there, they will become stuck to the food as it cooks and then make a sauce for your chicken when you remove it from the cosori, so make sure that is completely clean before you begin using it.

6. Pull out your desired cooking rack that you want to use. You can find a variety of them here on Amazon.

7. Put your cooking rack on top of the cosori air fryer so that there is a little bit of space between the top of the cosori and the food you’re cooking to allow for heat circulation and browning.

Choosing your oil:  For this recipe, we will be using sunflower oil as our cooking oil. It has a higher smoke point than some other oils and will not stain your cookware. If you want to use a different kind of oil, make sure that it is an oil that can withstand high temperatures without smoking.

Choosing your temperature:  It’s important to get the chicken cooked at just the right temperature. Too low and the chicken will become dried out, but too high and you’ll destroy those delicious juices on the breast in no time! The right temperature when using a cosori is between 320-370 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cooking:

1. Set your cosori air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the highest temperature you can go in order to still get crispy skin on the chicken and prevent the chicken from becoming dry or soggy.

2. Place your desired cooking rack on top of your cosori air fryer with your chicken breast-side down as described in step 7 on prepping the chicken above.

3. Put your cooking oil into your cosori air fryer. Use two tablespoons of sunflower oil for every pound of chicken that you’re cooking.

4. Put your egg rack on top of the cosori air fryer as well. You can use any rack you would like, but we recommend using an egg rack. It works like a more traditional kitchen rack and holds the chicken so that it doesn’t drop down into the cooking chamber of your cosori air fryer.

5. Place the chicken in your cosori air fryer on top of your cooking rack and let it cook at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 – 45 minutes, or until fully cooked and no longer pink inside or charred at all on the outside.

6. Remove your cosori air fryer from the heat. If there is excess oil remaining, just drain it off and dispose of it properly.

7. Allow the chicken to sit for 5 minutes and then remove with a spatula or fork and enjoy!
